Smile

Pledge the badge of loyalty
Sing the songs of hypocrisy
Hiding under the name of democracy
While matching in the name of bureaucracy

When was the last time you saw your smile
When was the last time you saw your family smile
When was the last time you saw your neighbor smile
When was the last time you saw your country smile

Summer rains in people’s face
The innocent are in search of grace
The hearts of the good is on a verge of misplace
Collectively we are in a state of disgrace

I saw the fear in an innocent man
Who fell victim to the politics of scam
He knew nothing of their selfish plan
While expecting thy mail, thy became their mailman

When was the last time you saw your own tear
Despite knowing everyone around you survives under fear
Might you be so heartless that you do not even care
I suggest you look in the mirror before looking into others’ affair

They say’ even a lonely wolf ends up in a pack
To survive one needs to learn how to counter their attack
Take a wrong move and you might end up being their snack
Thus, one step at a time with your eyes behind your back

The hidden tears in our eyes
Do result to violence in disguise
Regardless of the storm brewing in the skies
It never hurts to wipe away someone else’s cries

Smiling is one amongst the greatest of gifts
With the most minimal of efforts one could uplift
No matter how strong, an emotion can succumb to a shift
With a smile on your face, one could never face defeat

Do your best to make yourself smile
Do your best to make your family smile
Do your best to make your neighbor smile
Do your best to make your country smile

Out Cry

Take down the wall | Make it up to me
Do not let your pride stand between what we have built
Do not shy away from confessing your shortcomings
It’s simple, when you are wrong issue an apology
We build not destroy the branches of our family tree

Why end a caterpillar’s life because you fear butterfly
To what crime does the innocent deserve to die
No more political foolery, Unravel the myth to be free
Make way for me but first, make it up to me
Humble yourself and take a knee, Colin Kaepernick

Sixty-Two years and counting but I have nothing to show for it
Aside from banditry being my most lucrative industry
Corruption being my consistent and badge of identity
Lawlessness even laissez faire seem strict to me
Just discipline yourself and make it up to me

I can still forgive your shortcomings
Life is a book and we are all verses to it’s poetry
Every pencil has an eraser if you are willing to look for it
With a simple amendment we can make his story history
Don’t put your pride in the way just make it up to me

I do not care about my blood nor sweat I just want to be free
I was born in this land, why does it give me misery?
To think you could do me no more injury
Are you telling me the Vampires have taken over this country?
What happened to your magic, just make it up to me

What is there to fear just make it up to me
You have my mind chained and you hold the leash
I watched them kidnap and kill my brothers and you forced me to sheeh!
I kept my mouth closed while you eat off the leaves from our family tree
All I ask is for you to make it up to me, Capeesh!

Take down the wall | Make it up to me
Do not let your pride stand between national peace
Do not shy away from confessing your shortcomings
It’s simple, when you are wrong issue an apology
We build not destroy the branches of our family tree

The Oppressed

My heart is filled with sorrow
I fear the pain today only gets worse tomorrow
A coalition of heartless pharaohs
That continues to narrow our road to freedom

We never called ourselves perfect
We are sinners like you seeking for our rights
Some of us have faced dark days their entire life
It is neither a dog fight but for some that is what it takes to survive

How heartless can one be in the pursuit for injustice
We claim to be our mothers child but with a heart of a devil
We have all been watered with the sins governing our jungle
Fertilised with its selfish pride while being ignorant to the life’s on cradle

To what level of dissatisfaction do we need to reach to achieve a sense
To what extent would ours need to be abducted for us to be intense
To what value will life need to be degenerated for us to switch from defence to offence
To what heartlessness do we attribute our current level of complacence

We understand to you we are like a nagging insect
With no idea of purpose we claim to be an intellect
We need this… we need that… ignoring reality and fact
Because we lack self respect, teach us not label us an insect

Life is but a game of irony
The most dirty of insects are alive to keep our planet clean
The sun has to fall in order for it to set
Even the tallest tree, one could find started from underground

It is heartless of a man who forgets from whence he came
Not just the physical but the spiritual elements of genesis
We as a people were never meant to be the cause of our pain
But we employed evil and now we watch them claim our rain

What goes around comes around, we oppress the littlest of living things
And now we complain of being oppressed by the powers-that-be
Our lives are always a reflection of that which we give
Simply as we expect we give and that shall be our way to live

We never called ourselves perfect
We are sinners like you seeking for our rights
Some of us have faced dark days their entire life
It is neither a dog fight but for some that is what it takes to survive

Our hearts shall be filled with joy
The pains of today shall be forgotten tomorrow
A coalition of compassionate pharaohs
That will widen our road to freedom

Lovice

To all the ladies and gents
That are scared of commitments
That are always on self defense
Due to a little bit of scar from previous events

Do not shy away from heartbreak
By putting on the breaks on anything good that comes your way
Previous relationships’ is something like a snake
It is never the bite that puts you away but the venom coressing through your veins

You might have heard bad stories along the way
That have kept you in hiding from a mile away
It is like drinking acid while expecting not to decay
Do not fall victim to someone else yesterday’s fear and miss out on the opportunities of today

Cc everyone you see on the streets
To finally see the one that will set your heart free
What type of ink stains do you want on your sheets
Or have you never thought about the type of life you want to live?

Love is but beautiful
A synonym and acronym that can never be awful
More sweet than the Belgium waffle
And so elegant, there is nothing more lawful

There is nothing to fear but the paranoia of joy
A subtle reminder that loneliness is something to avoid
And Life is nothing but a void
With so much emptiness awaiting to be filled with your love

To all the ladies and gents
That are scared of commitments
That are always on self defense
Due to a little bit of scar from previous events

Do not shy away from heartbreak
By putting on the breaks on anything good that comes your way
Previous relationships’ is something like a snake
It is never the bite that puts you away but the venom coressing through your veins

The TAOetry

To be is to be born
To live is to be alive
All things are born of being
Being is born of none being

The TAO is in me and you
The TAO moves within everything around you
The TAO is peace
The TAO provides love that does not cease

They say the road to enlightenment is always dark
The road that leads forward seems to go back
The road that leads direct has a longer path
The road of the TAO is that from your heart

The feeble minded will laugh when they hear the TAO
Should they not result to laughter it is not the TAO
The Average minded will be at a half believe of the TAO
The Superior minded will immediately begin to embody the TAO

The TAO is of everything but it comes from nothing
The TAO is a knowledge of self and being
He who understand it has wisdom
It does not come with force but it gives strength

He who is content is truly rich
He who gives himself for others shall live long
He who gives himself for the TAO lives for eternity
He who gives himself for no one lives a zero life

Elegance comes from diligence
True power they say seems weak
Steadfastness they say seems changeable
True purity they say seems tarnished

The greatest art seems unsuffiscated
The greatest love seems indifferent
The greatest wisdom seems childish
The greatest poem reads like this

To be is to be born
To live is to be alive
All things are born of being
Being is born of none being

Covid Riddle

I am Riddle

I was Born to distract you

A knowledge made to mis-track you

A foresight to miss guide you

Make you love me unconditionally

At the same time hate me wholeheartedly

I am fictitious so you cannot see me

Swift like the river on a quiet evening

Bright like the wind, if you envision me

Mighty and strong like the jungle that raised me

1,2,3 you cannot count me

I am a king and queen, you cannot stereotype me

Dead and alive so you cannot kill me

I was born and I became strong

I was forged as someone’s vision

I was born with that vision

I can fly, I can swim

I can climb, up and down like a stream

I can laugh, I can sing, a poetry I seem

I go black when it’s dark

I go bright when every where is light

In hindsight, I created to control your mind

My Purpose remains a mystery

My impact shall never be forgotten in history

My sins are not mine but yours to reveal

Riddle me and rid you of me

My name is Covid

The Beast

We had high hopes for rainy days

2020 the year of making many hays

Success stories for better days

It was time to put in the work with no delays

That vision came short of a memory lane

No external precautions, it was the year of no blame

We were ready for the fire, in fact we came with our own flame

It was no pain no gain, Thus we could do it all over again

We were short handed by our blind sight

Ignorant to nature of the wind like a flying kite

We decided to be arrogant and the world took the bite

Now that vision is burning like a candle light

It is not yet dark to say the least

They feed our fears to calm the beast

They’re taking us back to account for our sins

It is 2020 but it’s C-19

Unity always has a charm for peace

We Unite in quarantine to kill the beast

Like the animals we caged, karma is making us pay

How ironic that isolated unity with family is the key

Why pass such opportunity that is the means to live

In respect to others that want to survive

A 14 day luck down with loved ones is not hard a gift to give

As we all speak the same language –The coronaVirus

Sympathy

How sympathetic of you to be sympathetic

Why sympathize when you are never sympathized

If all you see is criticism

It is only right for you to criticize your next victim

They say one plus one equals two

But me plus you becomes Us

You see how I sympathized with your logic to gain trust

Sometimes Choice can change our course sympathetically

An old man that wakes to work faces a different challenge

So does me, you and them; to sympathize is to quantify

How weak to find it boastful to claim my “struggle” triumphs’ yours

We all have the same 24; my intentions were never for me to endure

We all have survived to live another day

Either ways, it should not matter your pain

Rather the journey, the experiences you overcame

Serve food for thought; the fruits of your labour

Life was never meant to be peaceful

Only you plus I could start up a peace coup

How sympathetic of me; such a wishful thinking

It is only right for me to be sympathetic, for this ship of ours is rapidly sinking

Poeticverse

There is always an irony to life

The caterpillar needs to die to become a butterfly

It transforms from a snailly form of eww!

To a wingy form of Awww!

The Irony that remains

Is for the soul that never changed

For your limited life where do you stand ?

Karma has an irony that visits when you become sand

Search for your metaphor in poetic justice

Like a game of dice, it comes like your chances of double six

A satire in every win

Emotions but memory contains the heavy deeds

In this universe

Poetry I see in every little thought

One come and go but life never stops

Karma is a bitch and it’s never her fault

Today patience lacks attitude

Mockery has become a self fulfilling fortitude

An irony in every longitude and latitude

Am I running from every long attitude that outlast my attitude ?

Karma does not allow one to cheat life

Such an irony even death cannot cheat life

A short parody of life can be rolled in one dice

Unlike life, like the dice chances might come twice

I seek the poetry in this universe

I see the Irony that is this universe

Karma remains a bitch in every poetic parody

Thus, for the paradise in life, I claim my universe ‘The Poeticverse’

The golden Charmer

Knighted child in golden armor

Mattered not should ye be son to a farmer

A lawyer, doctor or even a Governor

The circle of life never existed in only one harbour

Yet this reality can be manipulated by a charmer

Knighted child in golden armor

Life seemed flexible from every angle in the mirror

Once away from the shadows of leisure

One would find the storm had never been heavier

Ye had only been sheltered under the family umbrella

A tradition of cosset

Shielded from all obstacles from birth

Ye’s Kindred meant no harm but good

Little did they forget the jungle is made of different woods

Some might be hard, and some soft

Ones Texture dictates the rationale behind his growth

A tradition of cosset

A facade to the feeble minded

A misplacement of value

Such tender a generation where trust weighs more than truth

A rooted foundation that warps our youth

Stories are told

Yet the truth remains to unfold

If the ultimate power is control

Then, a knighted child was only a means to a certain goal

How destructive a force yet attractive like gold

A knighted child in golden armor

Fell victim to the tradition of cosset

In plain sight is the absence of physical harm

While being ignorant to the notion of mental and emotional wants

To survive, the golden child needs to develop his personal charm
