How could I ever bring myself to say goodbye
When everytime I think of you, I want to cry
Or how looking at your picture makes me smile
And remembering that you gave me the colours of your eye
So when I look into the mirror I see your light

First thing every morning I receive a letter in my dream
It holds the same content every time I open it
It carries a fragrant tone that Could bring a mountain to its knee
With love and care, you ask me how I feel?
How I wish I could reply, even if it is just to say Thank You.

You made a young man out of me
You gave me your looks, and now the girls are after me
You put so much joy in my heart that my lips smile lavishly
You showed me how to be loved and love my woman elegantly
You taught me the art of kindness, I would have been lost without your guidance

You always saw the best in me when I couldn’t
You made me believe in myself when everyone didn’t
You Taught me how to dance to every melody
You showed me how to see the bigger picture even in a passport photo
You made me understand the importance of my family tree

So tell me, how could I say goodbye
When everything I am is a reflection of you
When every memory makes me miss you
When every day has no magic without you
When there would never be me, if there wasn’t a You.
